I felt all the spirits of my ancestors uniting to let me know through this article that "no one gets their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of their oppressor" This is an everyday reminder that respectability will never smash the partiarchy.

As a lawyer, this gave me the extra motivation to keep working towards having legal systems that respond to the needs of Women and Sexual and Gender Minorities

I loved this because it affirmed the need for having connected movements to end NCII because our stories are different, yet so similar.
